Jasmine Skarpfors, UX and Product Designer at Quickchannel,<\/strong> clearly demonstrated that accessibility isn\u2019t just for people with disabilities. Features such as subtitles, voice control, and high-contrast colors improve the user experience for everyone \u2013 whether you have a hearing impairment, are in a noisy environment, or simply prefer text over audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

”Accessibility is essential for some, but beneficial for all,”<\/em> Skarpfors explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

What does the law say? New regulations to be aware of<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Malin T\u00f8nseth, Partner at Simonsen Vogt Wiig,<\/strong> guided us through the legal aspects of accessibility. She highlighted the EU Web Accessibility Directive and the upcoming European Accessibility Act, which will come into effect in June 2025 and will impose new requirements on a broader range of digital services, including e-commerce and communication platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
